| STEP 1 Here we have Padmé Amidala from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I began with a rough drawing of her in my sketchbook, completed with a Sanford col-erase light blue pencil. (#20068 to be specific). I use the light blue to rough out my work because it doesn't smudge like a regular pencil would. Also, if I want to tighten up the artwork, I can then use a regular pencil over the blue lines, and it doesn't look like a giant mess. I didn't tighten up the line-work in this particular image because I was happy with the fairly tight lines I created with the blue pencil. |
